Not to mention the fact that there are two sets of people getting damaged brands: the advertiser AND the site owner. Both groups should heed your warnings before diving into this non-sense. I have a mental no-go list of sites that have annoyed me with these things. Oh, and yes, even if it is a survey for the site, it is just as rude! Spot on with the ROI issue Sonia.

People use them because they theoretically work, but I really suspect that's because the site owners aren't measuring the whole picture. I find them intolerably disrespectful and rude. (Then again, I might be something of a fuddy duddy.)
